Cain Food Industries was experiencing significant delays in their delivery processes due to the manual generation of Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) required for product shipments. With up to 200 batch numbers needing CoAs for a single order, the customer service personnel had to print each CoA individually, leading to substantial delays in order fulfillment and increased operational inefficiencies.

Solution

We conducted a detailed analysis of Cain Foods’ order processing and identified the bottleneck in the CoA printing process. We developed a custom functionality within their ERP system that automatically scans the lot numbers assigned to each sales order and prints all necessary CoAs in a single click. This automation streamlined the CoA generation process, integrating it seamlessly into the existing workflow.

Results

The automation of the CoA printing process reduced the time required from one hour to just 1-2 minutes per order. This improvement not only accelerated the delivery process but also significantly enhanced operational efficiency. As a result, Cain Food Industries could meet their delivery schedules more reliably, improving customer satisfaction and freeing up staff time for other critical tasks.
